Applied Behavior Analysis
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is the scientific study of the principles of learning and behavior. In practice, the implementation of ABA must be systematic to identify how behavior can be changed and understand how learning occurred. The goal of ABA is to establish and enhance socially important behaviors that can include academic, social, communication, and daily living skills; essentially, any skill that will enhance the individual's independence and their quality of life.
Some of these essential skills are taught in school however, learning does not stop at 3 p.m. FLY Behavioral Services will work with families and their team of teachers and therapists to continue to work on the skills across different settings and generalize into their natural environment. An assessment is conducted to individualize programs and discussed with parents before implementation.
